Several times a year, a vibrant and sizeable group of faithful visits the Monastery and participates in what is called a moba.
These activities may be different from one season to the other and here is a non-exhaustive list of typical tasks:
- Preparation of the garden for a new season (new composite soil, manure, etc.)
- Tilling the 50 square-foot garden
- Planting seeds
- Propagating seedlings
- Planting flowers
- Planting vegetable garden
- Weeding of the vegetable garden
- Weeding of the flower beds
- Keeping bees and maintaining hives
- Grass cutting
- Pruning of orchard and of vineyard
- Removal of dry leaves
- Trimming and/or removal of branches and forest clean-up
- Cutting and splitting wood for winter
- Preparation of pickled vegetables
- Candle production
- Maintenance of tools and machines
- Painting walls
- Power-washing of sidewalks and walls
- Thorough cleaning of the rooms
- Thorough cleaning of the pavilion
- Snow removal
