Support the monastery

Every lamp, every roof tile, every loaf

The monastery has no parish behind it and no endowment. Since 1994 it has stood on gifts — money, materials and work, offered by people who wanted this place to exist. Below is where the need is now, and every way there is to meet it.

Give now

Two ways, both direct

Card or PayPal

Give any amount, once or every month

You do not need a PayPal account — the page accepts debit and credit cards. Choose the monthly option if you would rather give a little at a time.

Zelle

Straight from your bank, no fees

Send to the address below from your banking app. Please write what the gift is for in the memo — or leave it blank and the sisters will put it where it is needed most.

Would you rather speak to someone first? Telephone (574) 654-7994.

Other ways to give

Not everything the monastery needs is money

A greenhouse needs lumber. The kitchen needs pots. The garden needs soil. Gifts in kind are received with the same gratitude as cheques, and they arrive faster.

Wish list

Buy something from the list

The sisters keep a list of what is wanted in the kitchen, the guest house and the workshop. Anything bought from it is delivered straight to the monastery — nothing to arrange, nothing to carry.

Open the wish list

In kind

Materials, tools, appliances

Building materials, garden equipment, kitchen appliances, a vehicle, professional services. Telephone before you deliver anything so the sisters can tell you whether it is still needed and where to put it.

Write to the monastery

Own a project

Take one thing on this list and see it finished

These are the works waiting at the monastery right now. Some are a single afternoon of a tradesman's time; others will take a family, a parish or a fellowship a year to see through. Write or telephone and the sisters will tell you what the one you have chosen costs today.

The list above needs hands as much as it needs money

Much of what stands here was built by people who came for a weekend with their own tools. If you have a trade, a licence, or simply a free Saturday, the sisters will find work for you — and feed you.

Trades and repairs

Roofing and carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, heating and cooling, painting and finishing, windows and doors.

Garden and land

Agronomy, orchard and vegetable growing, machinery, fencing, groundskeeping across eleven acres.

Handwork

Embroidery, sewing, candle making, icon mounting, bookbinding — the workshops the sisters are building up.

Kitchen and household

Baking bread and prosphora, preserving, cooking for feast days, laundry and linen for the guest house.

The living and the departed are remembered in the sisters' daily prayers and at every Liturgy. Send the names you would like read.

Come and see the place first

Nobody should have to give to somewhere they have never stood. The church is open, the grounds are quiet, and Liturgy is at nine on Sunday.
